HISTORIC OCCASION, HISTORIC SITE

Join us as we honor the memory of those who lost and those who saved lives on September 11, 2001 on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of 9/11. The Fifth Emergency Management Summit is proud to be hosted at the NY Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge, one of the triage sites on 9/11 and adjacent to the New York City Fire Department headquarters and the New York Police Department's 9-1-1 communications center. In addition to sessions onsite, the Summit will be arranging tours of Ground Zero. Come to New York City instead of DC (the traditional site of the EM Summit) in 2011 for a wide range of interactive sessions related to emergency management planning and response, as well as an opportunity to honor a time when the worst of times brought out the best in people.

GROUND ZERO COMMEMORATIVE TOURS

In order to help commemorate the 10th anniversary of September 11, the Emergency Management Summit has arranged for tours of Ground Zero exclusively for Summit attendees.

On Monday afternoon, September 12, two groups will be able to experience the gallery tour at the Ground Zero Museum Workshop. Another set of two groups will be able to visit the WTC Tribute Center and go on a walking tour of Ground Zero on Tuesday morning, September 13.

The Summit is pleased to provide attendees with the opportunity to experience these magnificent and moving tours.
